Submissions

Studio Magicae is currently accepting articles for the second issue!
We are also accepting submissions for artwork to featured in the journal and on the cover of forthcoming issues!

Potential topics include (but are not limited to):

Making sense of magical or occult practices and their place in the world (the metaphysics, what magic is)
Theory (How/why does it work, if it works at all, epistemology)
Magical practice and techniques of magic (Tarot, divination, astrology, ancestor work, specifics of rituals, etc.)
Thorough analysis of magic in specific contexts (E.g. Magic in the Norse tradition, Egyptian magic, chaos magic, Enochian, ceremonial, one’s own personal approach, etc.)
Interdisciplinary approaches to magic/occult/esoteric topics
Submissions responding to articles in previous issues are most welcome

Length: 1,000-15,000 words

Style: All references should be in footnotes with either the full citation in the footnote or include a reference page at the end.

Your Submission: Your initial submission should include a title, a short description of what you would like to write about or the article itself, and a brief bio of yourself.
Please submit your article in .docx or .rtf files.

Regarding your submission, Studio Magicae is an open access journal and the authors retain full copyright over their work and may do with it as they please in the future.
